5 ways to keep your mind and body healthy at home

To ensure the well-being of oneself, caring for the mind and body should always be a priority, but in these difficult times it is more important than ever. If at any point since quarantine began you have been overwhelmed by not knowing how to handle the situation, here are a number of ideas to help you keep your mind and body healthy at home.
Activate your body
Sport is always necessary, but it becomes essential when we are at home and practically do not make any movement. Some applications that will allow you not to miss a beat are Fit30 or Seven – 7 minutes of exercise. If you are a faithful fan of social networks, there you will also find all kinds of activities spread by well-known influencers, athletes and coaches. If, on the other hand, you’re not a big fan of sport and want to do it in a fun way, join the gaming community with Just Dance or Nintendo’s Ring Fit.
Cook
If you are one of those people who never has time to cook and only does it out of necessity, now is an ideal time to go into the kitchen, choose the ingredients carefully and spend time preparing a good dish. To achieve this successfully, it is best to plan the different meals of the day in advance and buy only what is necessary. This will save you from resorting to snacks or unhealthy food. Although it is also allowed to make a cake!
Don’t lose touch
We are social beings, and this is one of the main reasons why quarantine is difficult to comply with. But social distance does not mean losing touch with the people you love the most. What’s more, this is a good time to re-connect with family and friends who are far away (even if they are only two blocks away). Skype or FaceTime are two applications that will help you to socialize virtually and give you the daily “contact” that we all need.
Change stimulus
We understand a marathon of the fourth part of La Casa de Papel, but avoid as much as possible spending six hours in a row in front of a screen. Instead, we recommend watching a movie, having a break listening to your favorite music, then reading for a while, and ending up making a video call with someone you love. Changing stimuli during the day will be extremely beneficial for your mind – and therefore, for your body.
