Living in El Serrat and the Sorteny Valley
El Serrat is the last village out of the six located along the 14 km road (CG-3) that connect the centre of Ordino with the ski resort of Ordino-Arcalís (Vallnord). The construction of new houses is forbidden from El Serrat upwards, which makes it a privileged place to live.
It is located at the confluence of two small rivers, at 1,540 m. of altitude, and in 2017 it had an estimated population of 199 inhabitants, according to the statistics department of Andorra.
It is basically a sunny and quiet residential mountain village, at the foot of the Sorteny Valley Natural Park. Finally, during the summer, Vallnord Ordino-Arcalis opens its doors and infrastructures to a whole set of mountain activities for the whole family, that will be expanded and diversified with the new master plan that is being carried out.
Due to the new Ordino-Arcalis master plan and the agreement with the government of Andorra, a series of widening reforms of the road (CG-3) are currently also being carried out, which will allow, once finished in 2018 , a safer transit for vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians.

- The ski centre of the parish, Ordino-Arcalís., is 5 km away from El Serrat. Despite being the smallest and most familiar ski centre in the country, it is the most valued for its snow quality, its the natural spaces and its steep slopes. With the new master plan underway, it is currently immersed in the transformation that will give it the boost it needs for the next 30 years.
